As Pastoral Associate, Sister Ann Daniel Belmonte, OP, focuses on the pastoral needs of the parish.

One area that she is responsible for is the Pastoral Care of the Sick.  Sister visits and prays with those who are ill at home, in nursing homes, and in hospitals.

With parishioners, she has developed and co-coordinated:

  • Pastoral Care Committee -  creatively enables the collaboration and planning of all areas of Pastoral Care.

  • Eucharist Outreach Ministry to the Sick and Visitation of the Sick - enables and informs parishioners so that they may bring Eucharist to parishioners who are ill and provide an opportunity to visit and befriend those who are homebound, in hospitals and nursing homes.

  • Martha Ministry - provides hospitality after the visitation or funeral service of a parishioner.

  • Bereavement Support Group - Gathers once a month to offer support and are to those who have experienced a loss.

  • Prayer Shawl Ministry - Creates and distributes prayer shawls, which are knitted and crocheted with much love and many prayers, to community members experiencing pain, loss and life crisis.

  • Parish Nursing Ministry - works through faith to enhance the health and wellness of our community.

  • Ministry to our Older Adults (55+) - focuses on celebrating the gift of life.

  • Women's Spirituality Group - provides women of all ages an opportunity to gather and share their stories and wisdom as they make their way through life.

  • Stay At Home Parents & Grandparents Group - provides an opportunity for adults and children (newborn to 5yrs old) to have fun and conversation.

  • Craft Night - offers an evening for folks to gather, enjoy each other and be creative.

  • Transportation to clinics, therapy and doctor appointments and meals to the sick - offered upon request and on a short-term basis.

Also, Sister Ann ministers to those who are dying and their families.  She provides spiritual and physical support during this difficult time.  She acknowledges and gives thanks for the grace of the moment as she stands with those who experience loss and grief.  She is instrumental in assisting families who are planning the funeral services for their loved ones.

Sister Ann has led the community in prayer; Reflection days, Word and Communion Services, wake services, etc.  She offers spiritual direction.  She participates in the formation process of adults as presenter.  Sister is the pastoral/staff member who assists our parishioners experiencing financial difficulties.
